E|PTS 2024 Call for Papers
The E|PTS 2024 will take place in Bamberg, Germany on June 5 and 6. The conference is intended for researchers, product developers, production experts, purchasers and users of electric drives. Experts of industry and science are invited to present a contribution on the topics listed or on other topics that correspond to the general subject of the conference. Abstracts of about 300 words containing significant facts should be submitted online in English to the conference office. After the acceptance of your abstract, your full paper (4-8 pages) will be reviewed by the program committee. The proceedings of the E|PTS containing all final accepted scientific papers is intended to be published by IEEE and indexed by Scopus and Google Scholar.

Foundry Service for Passive Device Integration
X-FAB Silicon Foundries has further added to its proficiency in RF by announcing integrated passive device (IPD) fabrication capabilities. Just ahead of European Microwave Week it unveiled the XIPD process. XIPD is derived from the X-FAB XR013 130nm RF SOI process and leverages an engineered substrate along with a thick copper metallization layer.

GaN FETs for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing Applications
EPC announces the availability of the EPC9159, a 48 V / 12 V, LLC converter designed for high-density 48 V server power and DC-DC converters. This reference design can deliver 1 kW of power in a tiny 17.5 mm x 22.8 mm footprint for a power density of 5130 W/cm3. This is achieved by employing gallium nitride (GaN) power switches operating at high switching frequencies in both the primary and secondary circuits.
